Bob Arthur
Bob Arthurs is a jazz trumpet player who has been playing professionally for over five decades. He has played in clubs and at festivals in the New York area and abroad. New York venues include Birdland, Iridium, Jazz Standard, Cornelia Street Cafe, Cleopatra’s Needle, Somethin’ Jazz Club, Alice Tully Hall and Town Hall. Abroad he has performed in Belgium, The Netherlands, Russia, Japan and Austria.
He is a founding member of the Tristan Quartet, which can be heard on Bob’s CD on Zinnia Records, Notes From the Underground, which is available through this website, CDbaby, amazon.com and iTunes.
In addition to performing, Bob is a trumpet teacher and music educator. He was on the faculty of the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains, NY. He also served as the school’s Dean of Students and Faculty and Chair of the Conservatory’s Jazz Department.
